Tina: Great, thanks. I visited my uncle and then I travelled to Barcelona.

Tina: It was cool. The food were amazing.

Tina: No, there were a lot of things to do. My favourite place was 'Plaça de Catalunya'.

Jake: Well, it's good to see you again.

Laia: Hey, Carlota, do you want to go into town after school?
Carlota: NO. Sorry, Laia. I can't. I've got a history exam tomorrow.
Laia: Oh, right. That's a pity.

Carlota: NO. Why? What are you doing?
Laia: Some of us are meeting at the shopping centre if you want to come.

Laia: Hey, Carlota. It's Laia.
Carlota: Hi, Laia. How are you?
Laia: Fine, thanks. Listen, what are you doing at the moment?
Carlota: I'm at the Barcelona aquarium
Laia: Really? What are you looking at?
Carlota: Oh, there are some tent here. They're really cool.
Laia: Are you having a good time?
Carlota: Yeah, it's really interesting. We can meet later if you want.

Laia: Hey, what's that music?

Carlota: I'm in a school band. We've got band practise now.

Laia: Really? How often do you practise?

Carlota: We practise every Monday, and in August we participate in the 'Sant Martirià'.

Laia: A carnival? Cool! What do you do in it?

Carlota: Well, we dance, sing and wear costumes. It's fun.

Laia: I love singning. What about you, Oriol? Do you like carnivals?

Oriol: I don't mind watching them, but I hate dancing.

Laia: I don't understand this. How do you say 'read' in French?

Carlota: I think it's 'lire'.

Carlota: Yes, I want to visit Barcelona. How far is it frome here?

Laia: Barcelona about fifty minutes frome here on the bus.

Carlota: OK. How much is a return ticket?

Laia: A return ticket is nine pounds.

Carlota: And is there a bus or coach to Barcelona?

Laia: Yes, there are coaches frome the bus station. They're cheaper than the bus. The timetables are here.
